Choose you

Yoga teaches you to choose you - not your ego ‘you’ (which is just part of your mind), but the ‘you’ that is beyond your mind. Yoga calls this purusha, pure consciousness, the part of you that is infinite, eternal and unchanging, that is luminous and all pervading, that is indestructible and unsurpassable tranquillity, calm and clarity – your soul.

Each time you step onto your mat, each time you sit in stillness and silence and breathe and meditate, each time you rest, each time your practice ripples out into the moments of your life off the mat, this is an honouring of you, a clearing of the path so that you can remember who you truly are and why you are here. A step towards realising your own creative potential and divinity, towards remembering that you are the Divine, towards knowing that you are here because She chose you first - She chose to experience herself, through you.

So when you choose you, when you nourish and nurture you, you choose and honour Her. Could yoga be any more beautiful?
