I absolutely adore the practices I share - yin yoga, pranayama (yogic breathing techniques), tantric meditation, yoga nidra, rest, self-enquiry and Ayurvedic wellness practices.
These practices and rituals soothe your nervous system, expand your capacity to let go, alchemise the mind stuff that limits you, bring you into harmony with nature and awaken you to your true nature, which is innately luminous, peaceful and whole.
I found yoga while working as a chartered accountant in high pressure corporate environments in Melbourne. After 12 years of stressful corporate culture, a persistent feeling that there must be more to life led me to quit my job and complete my first yoga teacher training in 2018. I fell in love with yoga and Ayurveda and devoted myself to my practice, my studies (over 1,600 hours) and teaching (public classes, retreats and yoga teacher trainings).
After a break from corporate life, I went back part-time. This time I wove short and simple pranayama, meditation and relaxation practices throughout my workday and was amazed at how effective these practices were at helping me manage stress, soothe my nervous system and make me an overall happier human.
The practices I share are rooted in the sublime wisdom of Sri Vidya Tantra (the wisdom of beauty) and the Himalayan Masters (a living tradition).
In a nutshell, the combined worldview of yoga, tantra and ayurveda is that the universe is an ocean of beauty and bliss and you are a wave in that ocean, a wave with a unique purpose in this world that only you can fulfil. Your journey is to remember yourself as that, and practice leads to this remembrance.
I live on the stunning land of Byron Bay (Australia), and offer my love and respect to the ancestors, custodians and protectors of this land, including the Arakwal people of Bundjalung Nation.
